Aura Privacy Policy
Aura analyzes your face — so privacy isn’t a feature, it’s the whole design. This policy is short and honest.
Last updated: 17 July 2026
The short version
Aura has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Your photos and your face analysis never leave your iPhone — the entire scan runs on your device using Apple’s built-in Vision framework.
We could not see your face, your scores, or your data even if we wanted to. There is nothing to send and nowhere to send it.
On-device analysis
When you scan your face, Aura uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to detect facial landmarks, and then computes your ratings with math that runs entirely on your iPhone. No photo, measurement, score, or any derivative of your face is ever uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.
Aura works fully offline — you can run a scan in airplane mode.
Camera & photos
The camera is used solely to take the selfie you choose to scan. You can also import an existing photo from your library instead. Scanned photos are stored only in the app’s private storage on your device so you can see your history, and you can delete them all at any time in Settings → Delete all my data.
What Aura stores
Everything Aura saves — your onboarding answers, scan photos, scores, and settings — lives only on your iPhone. We have no accounts and no analytics, and we never see any of it.
Ratings, honestly
Aura’s scores are algorithmic estimates based on facial geometry, offered for entertainment and self-improvement. They are not a medical, dermatological, or psychological assessment, and they are not an objective measure of beauty or worth — no such measure exists. If appearance concerns are affecting your wellbeing, please talk to someone you trust or a qualified professional.
Purchases (Aura Plus)
Aura Plus subscriptions are handled entirely by Applethrough the App Store. Aura uses Apple’s StoreKit to check whether you have an active subscription. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple ID. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Children
Aura is intended for users aged 13 and up and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children — by design, it collects no data at all.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
