Wander Privacy Policy

Your trips, itineraries, saved places, journal entries, photos, and settings are saved only on your iPhone. We have no account system and no database of users, so we hold no copy of your travel history.

When you ask Wander to plan a trip, the details you entered are sent — through our own relay — to DeepSeek, the AI service that generates the plan. What is sent is limited to what the planner needs:

• Your destination, travel dates, and trip length.
• Who you’re travelling with (for example “a couple”, “family with kids”), your budget band, pace, and interests.

We do not send your name, email, contacts, photos, journal entries, or any identifier that points back to you. The relay exists to keep our API key private and to cap usage — it does not build a profile of you, and we do not keep your prompts as a record against you.

DeepSeek processes the request under its own privacy policy. Because this is what makes the feature work, if you would rather nothing be sent, simply don’t use AI planning — you can still build a trip by hand.

If you add a flight, its flight number and date are sent to a flight-data provider to fetch status, times, and gates. That is all that is sent — no booking reference, no passenger name, and no personal details, because the app never asks you for them.

Maps, travel times, and directions use Apple MapKit. If you allow location access, it is used to show where you are on the map and estimate travel times from your current position. Your location is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy and is never sent to us or to the AI planner. You can turn location off in iOS Settings and keep using the app.

Journal entries and any photos you attach stay entirely on your device. They are never uploaded, never sent to the AI planner, and never seen by us.

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — sending your trip details to generate the itinerary you asked for, and looking up a flight you added.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — keeping the app and our relay secure and within usage limits. You can object at any time.

The AI planning and flight-data providers may process requests on servers outside your country. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, those transfers rely on legal safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Because requests carry no identifying information about you, the personal data involved is minimal.

Under the EU/UK GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because your trips live only on your device, you can access and delete them directly in the app — deleting a trip or the app removes them. For anything else, contact us at support@iosvisual.com.

Wander contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics. We do not build a profile of you and we never sell data.

Wander is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
