Todo Lock Terms of Use
The short version: it's your phone, and your call.
Last updated: 19 August 2026
The agreement
By using Todo Lock you agree to what follows. Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to your copy of the app, and where the two disagree, Apple's terms win. You can read Apple's Standard EULA in full.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Todo Lock on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, rent it, or take it apart and ship the pieces as something else.
What the lock actually is
Todo Lock uses Apple's Screen Time framework to shield apps you choose, for as long as a task you started is unfinished. It is a tool for keeping a decision you already made — it is not a security product, a content filter, or a guarantee. Determined people get past it; that's true of every focus tool ever built, and pretending otherwise would be the dishonest part.
Break Glass ends any lock immediately, and always will. The Phone app is never shielded, and never will be — emergency calls are not something to gamble with.
Not medical advice
Todo Lock is not a treatment for anything. It doesn't diagnose, and it isn't a substitute for professional help with attention, compulsion or anything else you might be using it for. If something in your relationship with your phone is frightening you, please talk to somebody qualified.
Subscriptions
Todo Lock Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed to your Apple Account. Everyone gets a free day of the full app first, with no card and no sign-up. After that, the free tier keeps planning, tags and one lock profile — it does not expire and nothing you made is taken away.
A subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change with notice.
Your data is your problem, and your right
Everything lives on your device, so there is no backup on our side. If you lose the phone, or delete the app, the data goes with it. Settings → Data → Export writes a copy you can keep. We can't recover anything for you, because your tasks and plans were never on a server of ours.
What the app does send is described in the privacy policy: anonymous counts of which screens get opened, with nothing personal in them.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It's been built carefully and tested, but software has bugs, iOS changes, and Screen Time occasionally behaves in ways nobody documented. To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for missed work, missed appointments, or anything else that follows from using — or not being able to use — this app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes a right you have as a consumer that can't be signed away.
